Wild
Red Raspberry — Rubus idaeus var strigosus
Small-fruited red raspberry found in northern Michigan. Fruit size
usually rarely exceeds 1/2" but has extremely small seeds that are not
detectable when you eat them fresh. By far the strongest-flavored
raspberry you will ever eat. Great in pancakes. Canes do not tip root.
Plant reaches 3-4 ft. tall. Easy to grow in a clump that will not spread
as fast as other raspberries. Hardiness -35 °F.
